As I was doing my morning reading the other day, Robert Ringer (the author of Looking Out for #1) told a story about trying to take a sticker off of a glass jar...
"I threw boiling water on it and almost scalded myself; I scraped it with a steak knife until I broke the tip off; I cursed it and shook my fist at, but the sticker continued to do its thing: stick.
In exasperation, I went to the hardware store and asked if they had a tool that was made for the job. They did; it cost about a buck...It took me about 13 seconds to remove the label, in perfect fashion, and with virtually no effort."
I'm sure you've done something like this when it comes to a home project or building project of some sort...once you took the time to find the right tool, completing the project suddenly got much easier.
But "tools" don't only pertain to the physical objects that can be used to build or mind things...
They also pertain to the mental and emotional attributes it takes to be able to work through problems and overcome the obstacles life throws at you.
ACTION:
If you're having trouble with a problem, be that losing weight, increasing sales, or adding new clients, ask yourself if you have the right tools for the job. Remember, don't just look outward...our inner tools can always be updated.
Until next time, get out their and step into growth...
