Embrace the Ebbs and Flows

I've noticed that my training progress has slowed down the past few weeks and, to go along with it, my body is staying sorer longer...

Historically, I've found myself pushing through this phase of contraction, usually to find myself worse off on the other end of it.

But, I've learned to know when it's time to grow and when it's time to recover...

And, based on how my body is responding right now, it looks like recovery is on the menu for the next week or so.

And that's the way that it goes with all things in life...

There is always an expansion followed by a contraction...

A growth phase followed by a recovery phase...

This is the normal ebb and flow of everything you're working to get better at.

Embrace it, be patient during the contraction, then push insanely hard during expansion...

That's how you'll grow in the long run.
