It's easy to think that some people are just lucky...

When you see someone who gets a big promotion after being on the job for a few months...

Or watch a friends business explode in a short period of time...

You might think that they have luck on their side, which is something you never have.

What you don't see is how those people increased the likelihood of getting lucky...

In other words, there's a formula for luck...

Step one is recognizing and accepting that, if other people can get lucky, you can get lucky, too (you get what you expect, after all)...

Step two is regularly putting yourself in positions for luck to happen.

That means going to events that have people that can bring you luck...

That means trying things that you've never tried before but you always wanted to...

That means talking to people about your ideas, asking questions about how to improve them, and allowing people to help you along the way.

Because your chances of luck increase with iteration...the more you do something, the more likely luck will show up.
