Over the past year or so, I've spent a lot of time working on my hip strength.
I tore an adductor muscle in my left hip when I was 25 and never fully rehabbed it at the time...and so, here we are, 15 years later, and I'm working to reconstruct and rebuild all of the weaknesses that have built up over that time.
I've done a lot of work to get my hip and leg muscles back to good working order...
I've changed my weight lifting style to incorporate more slow movements (which help build strength without having to use heavier weights)...
I've done yoga, incorporated stretching routines, used self massage techniques, and on and on.
And it's all helped...my hips are much more stable today than they were a year ago...and yet, there was still a deficit that I couldn't quite figure out.
And then I heard Tai Lopez mention a training routine to help rebuild the core muscles (the hips are technically part of the "core") called Foundation Training (fair warning, the workout is only 12 minutes long, but it's a bitch).
I tried it on a Saturday...by Sunday morning, my hips felt 20% better.
So I did it again Sunday and, after doing a lower body day on Monday, my legs and hips felt as strong and stable as they've felt in years.
Now, I don't tell you this story to get you to buy into the Foundation Training program...I make zero money from you doing so...I tell you because I had to try a BUNCH of different things, all of which helped a little bit, until I finally found something that helped A LOT.
ACTION:
Just because you've tried a handful of things that haven't worked the way you want them to, doesn't mean you can't find something that won't. Keep experimenting and trying...eventually, that thing will show up.
Until next time, get out there and step into growth...
