Human beings have a tendency to think that there is a "right" decision to every problem.
It doesn't help if you label yourself a "perfectionist" (not a thing, by the way) and tell yourself that you can't help by search for the perfect solution.
This morning I was listening to the Garyvee Audio Experience. If you don't know who Gary is, you've had your head stuck in the sand for the past 10 years...he's well known.
The episode was a Q&A session with business owners. One of the owners asked him what makes him so effective at being an operator of his business...
"I'm just willing to make more decisions than the next person and I'm not worried about judgement from myself or from others."
Essentially, he's not worried about making a decision that's perfect...he just needs to know the options that are good enough...then he can make a decision...the outcome will be based on execution.
That's a profound mindset shift for anybody who has labeled themselves a perfectionist for a long time (which most people do...it's just a form of procrastination...again, it's not a thing)...
But it's also one worth taking seriously.
ACTION:
Understand there is no perfect. Find some options that are good enough. Pick one. And then execute relentlessly. Your outcome will be based on the latter.
Until next time, get to deciding...
