Over the years, we’ve bought into this idea of “all things in moderation”. The problem is, we’ve only applied the idea of moderation to the areas of life that empower us. For instance, people justify not working too much because they don’t want to “over due” it…in other words, they should exercise in moderation.
Of course, our idea of “moderate” exercise today is inadequate. Because our standards for exercise and movement are so low, that ANY exercise is moderate exercise. Which is why one of the main takeaways from this episode is the fact that, if you want to make any kind of lasting, sustainable change in your life, you need to do it in excess.
