The average person has 50,000 thoughts a day (give or take a few thousand).
With that many thoughts running through your head, it's hard to know which one's to take seriously and which ones to ignore.
In my experience with myself and working with others, it's clear that at least 90% of our daily thoughts are trash.
Most of them are habitual thoughts that we've built over time...mostly around fear, self-doubt, worry or some other form of negative thinking.
But some of them can be useful...bringing clarity to an idea or finding the answer to a problem...
So, how do you figure out the 10% to pay attention to?
Simple...
Pay attention to those "AHA!" moments.
ACTION:
Most useful thoughts come in the form of a random glimpse of clarity.
Maybe you've been working on a problem for a while or you've been ruminating about a decision, when suddenly the path cystalizes in your mind.
Those are the thoughts you want to pay attention to.
The rest can be left for scrap.
Until next time, here's to your 1% growth every day...
