I had to laugh at myself yesterday at the gym...

I found myself judging someone for getting upset about something that, just a week before, I had gotten upset about.

Of course, the thing that I got upset about and that I was judging this other guy about had no effect on life in general...but the human tendency is to make big things out of small things.

Which brings up 2 important points:

#1) All humans are fallible. While I've done plenty of work to both not get worked up about small things AND to not judge others, I still do it.

#2) All humans are hypocrites. 99% of the time when we get aggravated with someone about small stuff, it's because we do that same small stuff ourselves, and we don't like it. The problem is, we're blind to our internal aggravating tendencies while we are happy to point out someone else's.

ACTION:

Keep these two points in mind the next time you find yourself getting worked up about small stuff. And, remember...quit pointing out the speck in your neighbors eye while ignoring the log in your own.
