About 15 years ago I tore the adductor (upper, inside muscle) on my left leg.
I didn't rehab it correctly at the time (in truth, I didn't rehab it at all outside of a few visits to the chiropractor) and, over the past few years, my hips have really been giving me fits.
So last year I started focusing on doing daily work to fix the issue...mobilizing the hips, stretching the hamstrings and the quads, and doing stability work.
When I tell this to people, they typically reply with something like "that seems like a lot work. Why do you care so much?"
My response is always the same...
"If I plan on continuing to live and I want to be physically resilient until I die, it's a requirement. Plus, what else do you want me to spend my time on? Watching TV and scrolling on my phone?"
It comes down to a matter of standards and expectations...
The time is going to pass regardless...
The question is, what are your expectations for your time and what standards do you want to live by?
ACTION:
Just because everyone else unconsciously wastes their time, doesn't mean you have to do the same.
Decide what you expect out of your time. Decide what standards you want to live by. Act accordingly.
Until next time, here's to your 1% growth everyday...
