Yesterday morning I was chatting with a guy at the gym about his fitness progress...
He's only 23, was an athlete in high school, is a well built 225lbs with a good bit of athleticism to him, and has a few lifting goals he's working on.
One of them is squatting 500lbs.
He told me that his current PR is 480lbs, but when he tries 485lbs, it buries him.
I told him that 480lbs is your mental max, because if you're getting stuck at 485lbs, your mind is the biggest barrier to breaking that plateau.
And the same can be said for any barrier you're currently facing...
Whether you're trying to build your revenue by 20%...
Or add 20lbs to your deadlift...
Your mind is the biggest obstacle between here and there.
ACTION:
If you feel stuck in place, like you can't break through this brick wall, ask yourself "If I didn't have any mental barriers, what would I need to do to achieve this goal?"
Until next time, here's to your 1% growth every day...
