A few months back I did and interview with Dr. Grant Kruhley, a chiropractor who has practiced Buddhist meditation for decades.
During the interview he said...
"Your thoughts are not your own. They are a stream of universal consciousness that come and go and come and go."
Whether or not you believe in the idea of universal consciousness, it's worth thinking about that statement as a whole.
We all spend inordinate amounts of time debating with ourselves on what to do...
And many of us never end doing anything because we think ourselves out of action...
Maybe you've convinced yourself that the plan is too risky...
Or you've concluded that you don't have the skills and abilities to complete it.
Whatever it is, you've allowed your thoughts take control...
Or, maybe a better way to put it is, you've allowed the stream of universal consciousness to take control and keep you from progressing.
Seems ridiculous doesn't it?
ACTION:
Recognize your thoughts are just automatic happenings that will come and go as they please.
Pay them no mind...they'll only be there temporarily anyway.
Until next time, here's to your 1% growth every day...
